Wasted

I feel I am dead, or in mourning.

The last time I was I mourning, I did the same.

Cried from night to day.

Eyes swollen, mind empty.

And I have stopped eating.

Since this morning, I only had coffee, and some chips.

And I feel empty.

So it is so that I have wasted the whole of Saturday.

I feel wasted.

I am wasted.

Mentally, emotionally wasted.

Pain is a scary thing.

Hi, mum of En

Though I don't know you in person, but I do read your blog at times coz they give me new insights.

And though I am just an online stranger to you, but I would still like to give you some words of comfort because I can identify with you. Welcome to the club, the emotional and passionate species called 'woman' who is often being misunderstood as 'irrational' (at best) and 'unreasonable' (at worst).

From my pain, I've learnt, men and women are essentially wired very differently. At times, if we don't try to see the world through our husband's lenses, it can inflict alot of pain in us. But of course, part of our pain also stems from the fact that he doesn't see the world through OUR lenses.

But, at the end of the day, I came to know, just because my husband doesn't love me with all that I want, doesn't mean he doesn't love me with all that he is.

People are complex, we have our own sets of thinking. At times, it will be better if we don't interpret our spouse's behaviour with our own thinking, because it will cause us to cast a certain light upon him, which may not be fair and accurate, and give us pain in the process.

And lastly, so often, I find when I cast my cares and all expectations upon Him rather than my husband, it ease my burden, and my husband's too. As such, God is the third strand that binded us together.

Take heart! You are not alone. :-)
